(4) The First Brain Was Just Uploaded To A Computer - YouTube -- Wow 😮 This is pretty amazing! Scientists and this new company called Eon, have managed to replicate the entire structure of a fruit fly's brain, exactly. It behaves exactly like a fruit fly does, in it's virtual simulated world. The only thing they're missing is the strengths of the connections and weights of each neuron and the state of the chemical "soup"? of the original fly, so it carries no memories and has no "mind", but structurally it works! Holy shit! Wowza 😱

This has become my new favorite way to get my local weather forecast (although I don't think it works outside of the US): WeatherStar 4000+.

It emulates the feeling of watching The Weather Channel's "local on the 8s" circa the late 90s / early 2000s, but it's interactive, on-demand, and even includes a replica light-jazz soundtrack.

I installed it as a PWA on both my laptop and my phone. 😁

Also, it can be self-hosted, but the original author's site has been good enough for me (so far).

I should have taken a photo. We had thick fog this morning, visibility around 50 meters. This looked really nice. It started in the evening when I was taking advantage of the break in rain and headed out. There were very low hanging clouds everywhere. The rain eventually got me again, but it wasn't bad at all. Similar today, my mate and I had a nice stroll in light drizzle. Almost not enough for an umbrella. I just love when there's noone else around.
